Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Karate Athlete A.I. ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian must read and agree to these terms on your behalf.

Karate Athlete A.I. provides AI-assisted video analysis for karate kata and kumite performances. The Service includes:

• AI-generated performance reports and training suggestions.
• Coach-led review, scoring, and sign-off (for coach and federation plans).
• Competition readiness tracking and WKF-aligned benchmarking.
• Training diary tools (session log, competition calendar, drill tracker).
• PDF report export and progress tracking.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. The Service supports the following roles, each with different access levels:

• Athlete/Parent: can upload videos, view released reports, and use training diary tools.
• Coach (Coach Unlimited): can upload and review videos for assigned athletes, generate reports, and manage one club.
• Federation/Squad Admin: can manage multiple coaches, clubs, and athletes within a federation.
• Admin: platform-level administration.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

The Service offers several paid tiers:

• Performance Snapshot — €15 one-time (1 AI review credit)
• Single Review — €25 one-time (1 AI review credit with PDF)
• Competitor Bundle — €95 one-time (5 AI review credits)
• Coach Unlimited — €150/month (coach-led reviews, fair-use cap of 40/month)
• Federation / Squad Platform — €900/year (multi-coach, multi-club)

App Store / Google Play: When using the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, purchases are processed externally via Stripe through your device's web browser. We do not use Apple or Google in-app purchase systems. This is in accordance with the stores' policies for externally-purchased digital content.

Subscriptions (Coach Unlimited) auto-renew until cancelled. You can cancel anytime via your Stripe customer portal or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

The Coach Unlimited tier includes up to 40 athlete reviews per calendar month. This is a fair-use policy to prevent abuse. If you exceed 40 reviews in a month, you may purchase additional review credits (€5 each). The allowance resets on the 1st of each month.

Unused review credits (Performance Snapshot, Single Review, Competitor Bundle) are non-refundable once a report has been generated. If a report cannot be delivered due to a technical error on our side, we will re-process the review or issue a credit.

Subscription cancellations take effect at the end of the billing period. No partial refunds are given for unused time within a billing cycle.

By uploading a video, you confirm that:

• You own the video or have permission to use it.
• If the athlete is under 18, you are their parent or legal guardian and you consent on their behalf.
• You consent to the video being processed by AI for analysis and stored securely as described in our Privacy Policy.
• You confirm the video is not shared publicly without consent.

Videos are subject to a retention period and will be deleted after that period unless you request earlier deletion.

Reports generated by the AI analysis system are AI-assisted and do not constitute professional coaching advice. The AI provides observations and suggestions based on the video provided. For competition decisions, always consult a qualified, certified coach or referee.

For coach-led tiers, the assigned coach reviews and signs off on reports before they are released to the athlete. The coach's sign-off indicates their professional judgement has been applied.

You agree not to:

• Upload videos that you do not own or have permission to use.
• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on others' rights.
• Share your account credentials or allow unauthorised access.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

The Service, including its design, branding, software, and AI models, is owned by Karate Athlete A.I. and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your videos and the content you upload. You grant us a licence to process your videos for the purpose of providing the Service.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Karate Athlete A.I. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid in the preceding 12 months.

You can delete your account at any time using the in-app account deletion tool. This will permanently remove your data, including videos and training diary entries, subject to legal retention requirements for payment records.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
